My Bio
I have been doing make-up for 20 years. I started out in salons and retail, but decided I needed more creative work and started freelancing, doing make-up and hair for photography, in 1999. I worked for the first Sephora in the States in NYC and I have trained with over 35 cosmetic companies. I am also trained as a henna tattoo artist and have 11 years of experience under my belt. I studied the fine arts in college and am intrigued by most disciplines of art.

I'm glad to see there's been a good response to the photos I have posted today. I worked with the lovely model, Emily Hammond. It was a great shoot because everything came together perfectly. I'm not sure if the planets were aligned properly or if I just got lucky, but I love the photos.
It's been a while since I've been on because I was in the hospital for most of the month of September. I had a "gallbladder gone wild." I've spent most of October recovering from the surgery and various procedures I had to have. What's the word, Bird?

It's been a while, so I figured it was time to check in and see what's new in dA-land.
As for me, some things have changed. I have moved back home and I am trying to adjust. In general, in life right now, I feel like I'm trying to figure out where I fit in...or how I fit in.
People like my photography and like my make-up work, but it seems like only people wanting me to work for free are contacting me. That's very disconcerting. And while I can always say "No" and be done with it...there's the part of me that doesn't like to pass up an opportunity to create.

So, I've been on DA a year! Time really flies. I've really enjoyed the atmosphere on this site and all of the creative minds coming together to make all kinds of magic. I've been entertained and inspired. I've tried new things as a result and am forever grateful!
I'd like to thank everyone for all of the comments and feedback. It's not just that compliments are nice, which they are, but I do appreciate the constructive criticism too.

Nice photos! OK, I think I actually want to take photos of flowers for some strange reason! Urgh, I'm a guy???? Going to leave (I'm moving) and take my camera with me if I see anything fun!
